Personal:  Kyle is the son of Dan and Peggy Traub; he has an older sister, Carly Traub, who rowed for Brown University and is now in the Peace Corps and a younger brother, Jordan Traub, who is rowing at The College of the Holy Cross; He loves the ocean; Kyle grew up on the beach, is an ocean lifeguard, and has been fishing and surfing since he could walk.
